Comparative Sevens

Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ

As shewn in TwainShew4 and Sevens2 there are two mountains compared in Hebrews 12, each one being seven things. Such is a comparative biblical seven, allegorically comparing law (of Moses) and grace (of JC) as if  lie and truth (Jn 1:17). And when comparing such allegoric things as mountains, Mt Sinai -vs- Mt Sion, not come -vs- come, law -vs- grace, there is no doubt which is witch, and which one of twain both God & Son are on.

The valley between such mountains, which we all seem to have to walk through (yea, though I walk "through" the valley: Ps 23) is called the valley of the "shadow" (law: Heb 10:1), the shadow of death (law: a ministration of death in 2Cor 3 and a deadly sting in 1Cor 15), by Psalmist David, and the walk through the valley, from one mountain to the other one, as from death to life, is commonly called a Grace Walk. The objective is not to look back (see the commentary on Rev 1:10) at law no how great it may trumpet as a pied piper; for looking back gives place to law worketh wrath, and to fear hath torment. Give law no place, and it will have no authority, nor dominion over you. From such turn away, and go on to us-ward.

For review, let's look at comparative sevens in Heb 12's twain mountains comparison:

(Not come) Mt Sinai  (Law)                        (Come) Mt Sion (Grace)
  1. -that might be touched                                 - city of living God, heavenly Jerusalem
  2. -that burned with fire                                   - an innumerable company of angels
  3. - darkness                                                   - general assembly: church of firstborn
  4. - blackness                                                  - God: the judge of all
  5. - tempest                                                     - spirits of just men: made perfect
  6. - sound of a trumpet                                     - Jesus: mediator of new covenant
  7. - voice of words(plural)                                - blood: that speaketh "better" things

Interestingly,
Sion is mentioned seven times in the New Testament, as follows:
  1.  Mt 21:5   Tell ye the daughter of Sion , Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
  2.  Jn 12:15   Fear not, daughter of Sion : behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
  3.  Rom 9:33   As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
  4.  Rom 11:26   And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
  5.  Heb 12:22   But ye are come unto mount Sion , and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
  6.  1 Pet 2:6   Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
  7.  Rev 14:1   And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
Interestingly, an allegorical description of Sion is mentioned seven times in the NT:
        1. without blame, Eph 1:4
        2. without blemish, Eph 5:27
        3. unblameable, Col 1:22
        4. without spot, Heb 9:4
        5. without blemish, 1 Peter 1:19
        6. faultless, Jude 24
        7. without fault, Rev 14:5
And an absense of all such is His Grace (pure grace, void of any law at all); Perhaps the reason there is no mention of law in the conclusion of the Holy Bible: "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.". For a final singular "Amen" to that (only) is what makes both it and you all one: Holy. For although the Holy Bible containing Old and New Testaments speaks of twain Holies, in the final analysis there is but one Holy, of Holies (one winner take all). Hence the Bible is not an Holy Holy Bible, but rather the Holy Bible.

For when looking at light, which God said let there be (as if declaring the end from the beginning), such has seven major colors as the vibrations of light, and three of such are primary, four are secondary; but only the mixing of all three, or all seven, makes white; Yet perhaps two sorts of white, one pure (having a white base) and one impure (having a black base, such as white paint). For the secondary four are derived from the primary three, which all other colors are derived from, and the secondary are from two of three primary, which is 2/3 = 0.666 = nothing, and to infinity; Whereas 3/3 = 1.000 = everything, and to infinity. So also seems to go the tri-chord of music, having seven do ray me fa so la ti notes of sound, the vibrations of air, three primary notes played together being a chord, four being discord.

There are several other comparative sevens,
but would you believe I can't find my notes on it.

...to be cont'd when I find my notes.

The grace or our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
