Be aware of bwd fwd
Friendship Week email craze going around:
(Eg: the sort of bwd-fwd email "many" fwd to me, not knowing it's an
imp-ish imp-act)
..........................................................................................
One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd." I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. ... ( bla bla bla ) You now have two choices, you can: 1) Pass this on to your friends or 2) Delete it and act like it didn't touch your heart. As you can see, I took choice number 1. "Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." There is no beginning or end..Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is mystery. Today is a gift. It's National Friendship Week. Show your friends how much you care. Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND. If it comes back, then you'll know you have a circle of friends. WHEN YOU RECEIVE THIS LETTER, YOU'RE REQUESTED TO SEND IT TO AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO YOU. ...................................................................................................................
My reply, to such a leavened
bwd fwd email imp-act:
Thanks for the email. It was touching. But I do not forward anything with even a hint of an imp-act therein, for such would be a bwd fwd oxymoron, only for morons. Such is evidently sourced from someone who took Friendship and added something from behind (an Ass). My heart is established in grace, and my senses are exercised to discern both good + evil ends bad, as bad as life + death. FYI, there's a beginning and end of the law (in Genesis 2:17 and Ephesians 2:15) which is why the end of the Holy Bible (Revelation 22:21) has no mention of law at all. As for history, it's written for the same reason as Scriptures are: "for our learning", (Romans 15:4). As for mystery, it is "made known" unto us (Ephesians 1:9). A real friend is one who 'dares' tell you the truth, about such lying vanities: "they that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy" (Jonah quote, in his great fish story). Lying vanities is an alegory for grace + law, which Solomon says is "all vanity and vexation of Spirit" in his Ecclesiastes, which concludes the whole matter of grace + law is fear God, an oxymoron (only for morons) if God is love, perfect love, which hath no fear, since fear hath torment. Hence the exhortation in Hebrews 6:1 is leave the (grace + law) principles, go on unto perfection (grace): The grace
of
our Lord Jesus
Christ with you
all. Amen.
