Holy
Kiss: Greeting:
Grace unto you, and peace,
from
God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Double Minded: a
double minded man [is] unstable
James
1:8 (KJV)
A double minded man [is] unstable
in all his ways.
James 4:8 (KJV)
Draw nigh to
God,
and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your]
hands,
[ye] sinners; and purify
[your] hearts, [ye]
double
minded.
double
minded (Greek): // diqucov
// dipsuchos
// dip'-soo-khos //
1) double
minded: unstable(unsettled): restless: not at rest(peace)
1a) wavering (this<-->that),
uncertain (not knowing),
doubting
1b) divided in
interest (instead of rightly dividing
word of truth)
unstable (Greek):
//
akatastatov // akatastatos //
ak-at-as'-tat-os //
1) unstable,
inconstant(fickle, capricious), restless(unsettled)
Double minded is often allegorized
throughout
the allegoric scriptures
The term "double
minded" is mentioned only twice in the
Bible: in James 1:8 and
James 4:8. Yet allegorically
double minded is mentioned more often by the mention of double (twain)
things, such as "Abraham
Abraham"
in Genesis 22:11, and "Moses Moses"
in Exodus 3:4, and "Lord
Lord"
in Matthew 7:21,22; 25:11; Luke 6:46; 13:25, and "Jerusalem Jerusalem"
in Matthew
23:37; Luke 13:34, and "verily verily"
in the gospel according to (double minded) John, and "Martha Martha"
in Luke 10:41, and "Simon
Simon" in Luke 12:31, and "Saul Saul" in
Acts 9:4; 22:7;
26:14.
Perhaps there is also some connection between being double minded and a
twoedged sword;
For a sharp twoedged sword coming out of the mouth of a priestly figure
in Revelation 1:16
(as the voice that spake
with John from behind: time past) seems to both bite and smite; bites
all seven angels of all seven churches and smites nations later on in
Revelation. In contrast, the word of God: grace: is "sharper than any
twoedged sword": Hebrews
4:12. Hence we find both an unrisen and risen Jesus upbraided cites
and apostles, but God upbraideth not: James 1:5. So, when asking for
wisdom which is not wavering, we should ask the God who giveth
liberally, to all, and upbraideth not.
Amen,
amen ... My God, my God x3 ... Master, master x2 ?
Three other instances are a double mention, yet notably
different. For example the first mention of Amen in the Bible is a
doulbe "Amen, amen" in Numbers
5:22 by woman to being both blessed and cursed by her priest; Notably
followed by twelve amens to being cursed by all the people. Perhaps
such is why one of two mentions in "verily verily" John, of Jesus
calling his mother "Woman" (perhaps neither being a compliment), is
included among his seven
last utterances, a Menorah
seven, like Genesis 1:1 in Hebrew, having double things: aleph/tahv
in the midst of seven which are considered as one: light (day): the seventh day
(light); Seven last utterances that also have this double mention "My God, my God" (Psalms 22:1;
Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34) followed by "forsaken" x3. Yet in Matthew 27
it is "Eli Eli" and in Mark 15 it is "Eloi Eloi"; Notably "cried" at
the "ninth hour" with a "loud voice" (12 instances of "loud voice" in
Revelation). Another instance where there is a double mention with the
first mention Capitalized is the case of Judas "also" betrayed him)
saying "Master, master" in Mark
14:45. The result is Judas "burst" asunder in the midst (Acts 1:18);
"burst" being by putting new wine (grace) in old bottles (laws), which
is noted in Mark 2:22 and Luke 5:37. Yet it is all the disciples
in the same (fellow) ship who also said "Master, master" we perish, in Luke
8:24's crossing of the lake with Jesus on board. Such is followed by
double rebuke to the wind (spirit) and to the raging water (word). Both
ceased. Then there was a calm. But also a question was posed to them:
where is your faith?
Concerning faith, Paul mentions whatsoever is not of faith is sin:
Romans 14:23, and
the law is not of faith: Galatians 3:12. So our faith should be in
grace, since only faith pleases God: Hebrews 11:6. On the other hand
what doesn't please God is sacrifice, which is of
the law: Hebrews 10.
So God will have mercy, and not sacrifice; Which is to say grace, and
not law; Which is to say life, and not death. In the case of what God
will have, compared to what God will not have, it seems to be merciful
mercy that nullifies sacrifice, pure grace that nullifies law, eternal
life that nullifies death.
In each case it allegorically denotes being double minded,
whether law vs law
or laws vs grace; as if divided
against itself as law vs law or else still being division(war) and not peace
as laws vs grace. We have the mind of Christ (Christ is the end of the
law, thereby the end of being double minded). For "the end of the law"
is the end of all law
vs law and laws vs grace divisions;
leaving only grace.
In modern terminology double minded could be called bi-polar, which is
as being mentally unstable. In the national realm it could be India vs
Pakistan, or Israel vs Palestine, or bi-polar
USA vs USA. In the childish realm it would be children vs
children. In the servant realm it's servants vs
servants. In each case it's know not vs know not;
a sides war instead
of peace; a blame game
instead of unity. So both sorts of
children are exhorted to "be no more
children"; And both sorts of
servants are exhorted to be "no more a servant".
For when perfect-ion
comes part-iality
is to be done away;
Which is to allegory say "all" is neither
"many" nor "few", "a more
excellent way" is
neither "broad" nor "narrow" minded, and "the Saviour of the
world" is not
a personal Saviour having partiality. It could also allegorically
be said "greatest" of
three things never fails is neither "great" nor
"greater"; as great can also be "great terror" of "great tribulation"
and greater can also be "greater damnation". So let us remember "there
is no respect of persons with God", only against God; And better of two
things is not what's best for all. For better is only better for some,
not all, and God will be all in all.
Double minded: Tries to serve "two masters": Grace -vs- Law; But
"no man can serve two
masters": "God (Grace) and mammom (Law)":
Matthew 6:24 (Luke 16:13)
No man can serve two masters: for
either he will hate the one, and love the other;
or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
In each case the double
mention allegorically denotes being double
minded: twain: twofold: "unstable": emotionally unable to
stay on a steady
course: restless: not at
peace: inconstant: unsteady,
likely to unpredictably change: fickle:
unreliable, due to perverse
changeability: capricious:
unpredictable, motivated by whim, fancy, stress. So prior to mention of
"a
double minded man [is]
unstable in all his ways" in James 1:8, James speaks of "wavering", and of "driven": law driven instead of
grace led (if led of the Spirit, not under the law:
Galatians
5:18),
and allegorically as unstable as a wave of the sea is "tossed"
to<-->fro by law<-->law winds (spirits)
instead of calm: still
(be still and know that I am God: Psalms
46:10; Peace, be still: Mark
4:39) by being "led of the Spirit" to "grace and truth came by Jesus Christ"
(not driven
by law
and lie), and "go on unto perfection": grace (void of law)-->mercy (void of sacrifice)-->peace (void of confusion).
For God is not [the
author] of confusion
(law), but of peace (grace); Which things are an allegory.
Allegoric Examples of double minded throughout scriptures
Abraham double
minded "Abraham Abraham" when
he'd offer
his
son as a sacrifice
unto law.
Moses is double
minded "Moses Moses" when he'd
turn
back to
a burning bush not consumed.
Sheeple are double
minded & not known by the
master of the house when saying "Lord
Lord".
Jerusalem is double
"Jerusalem Jerusalem" for
killing
(lawing) prophets and stoning (lawing) them.
Martha is double
minded "Martha Martha" when
she's "cumbered" and
"troubled" about Mary.
Peter is double minded "Simon
Simon" when not converted and about to
deny the Lord
thrice.
A gospel
according to John is the only double
"verily verily" gospel
of
four: Mt, Mk, Lk, John.
Paul
is double minded "Saul
Saul" when vexing God's
grace with law law,
persecutes the Lord.
For as Solomon says, of the law, in
Ecclessiastes: it's "all vanity
and vexation
of Spirit (Grace)".
Matthew 23:15 (Twofold: more the child of hell)
Woe unto you,
scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make
one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Mention of "twofold" in Matthew
23:15 and of "twain" mentioned
often
throughout scriptures also speaks of being double minded. A proselyte
is twofold: "more the child
of hell(law)" than childish
scribes, Pharisees: hypocrites, fools, vipers, serpents,
and blind guides who sat in Moses' seat: Law.
Such is to allegorically say a proselyte is law law: twofold: double
minded: unstable: restless. For Jesus brought division and not peace:
Luke 12:51, and "did not give them rest(peace)":
Hebrews 4:8. So
it is
written peace with God and eternal salvation
is "through Jesus
-->
Christ", only "in Christ" thereof; And reconciling the world
to God is done
"in Christ", not in two
Sons Jesus. Furthermore reconciled is neither to two Sons Jesus nor
to false/true Christs
rise and arise, but notably "to
God". God is not a man that
he
should lie (law), neither Son
of man that he should repent (change). So
Yet mention of double minded
refers to a man, not a child,
in
James 1:8; So it allegorically speaks of adults
still being childish. A childish-adult is an oxy-moron with a bad
ending: moron
(know not). "Know not" speaks of children
and servants,
differ not; And both constantly require forgiveness,
since they err,
by mixing law and grace, are contrary things
that cannot co-exist in true peace. So to have true peace, we have to be
decisive
about Law or Grace, one only being the Lord of Lords. Since the end of the
biblical God shew is
already written as the end to endure unto to be saved; And not only in
Revelation 22:21's conclusion
of the Holy Bible containing Old and New Testaments, but also in the
decisive conclusions
of all Pauline
Epistles, then it should thereby be obvious
(evident from evidence) that "the
Lord" of (plural) Lords is Grace: Unity of One Spirit:
Oneness isn't double minded, but one body of one mind and one accord of one spirit:
1Corinthians
6:17 he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit (grace: and truth thereof)
1Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit we are all
baptized into one body (body of Christ)
Ephesians 2:18
through him (thru J-->C) we both have access by one
Spirit unto the Father
Ephesians 4:4
[There is] one body, and one Spirit,
even as ye are called in one hope
Philippians 1:27
...stand fast in one spirit
with one mind (of Christ is the end of the law)
Note: one mind
strives together for the
faith of the gospel, and "the law (lie) is not of
faith"
2Corinthians 13:11
finally...be perfect,
be of good(God) comfort, of one mind, live in peace
Philippians 2:2
be likeminded, having the same(JC) love, [being] of one accord, of one mind
1Peter 3:8 Finally, [be ye] all of one mind (1Corinthians 2:16 "we
have the mind of Christ")
All of One mind: The mind of
Christ (Christ = the end of
the law: Romans 10:4)
Romans
10:4 Christ is the
end of the law; And not the mend of the law: Luke 5:35-37
So Christ abolished the law(enmity), to end all the law vs law and laws vs grace divisions
Leaving us with grace only, no divisions, so there be
"no schism" in "the body of Christ".
For there should
be no schism (law: divisions: partiality) in the body: 1Corinthians 12:25.
James 1:8 A double minded man [is] unstable
in all his ways
In James 1:8 it notes a double minded man is unstable in all
his ways.
So the mention of being double
minded = unstable
(twain, twofold,
restless, inconstant, fickle, capricious) notably refers to plural "ways". So James 4:8's mention of double minded also refers
to plural things: hands, sinners, hearts; And speaks of "ye" (ye do err, greatly and alway)
when referring to such double minded sheeple. "Ye" seems to be the
allegoric
plural of "you" in verses
containing both ye/you as if denoting before/after. Ye
refers to law and you refers to grace in most of the ye/you scenarios.
Eg: in 1Peter 5:10's ye/you (before/after) scenario, the God of all
grace (no law at all) makes you
perfect (grace) after ye
suffer (law). Suffer notably happens in CJ: mirrorly the reverse of JC: 2Timothy
3:12: "All who will live godly
(childish) in Christ Jesus shall
suffer persecution". Suffering and persecution occur when adding
law to grace, thereby vexing(frustrating) God's grace. For law makes
grace "no more grace" in the same manner death makes life no more life.
So when Paul's finally fully converted,
he says: "I do not frustrate (law: vex: persecute) the grace of God";
Which is to say he no longer adds death to life by adding sacrifice to
mercy by adding law to grace.
Mention of "Adam"
refers to plural (double)
"generations": Genesis 5;
But mention of "Jesus Christ" refers to one
"generation": Matthew 1:1.
The only foundation laid to
build on is Jesus Christ:
Matthew 1:1
... 1Corinthians 3:11; For Jesus Christ is the same yester day, to
day, and for ever: Hebrews 13:8; So we're told to be of "the same"
mind. Jesus
Christ neither obeyed nor disobeyed any law, rather he gave no
"place"
(2nd finished) to law other than law being a contrary part to be done
away
by coming of grace and truth (about law). When that which is perfect is come, then
that which is in part shall be done away:
1Corinthians 13:11. Law
is not perfect nor
merciful; but faulty
and merciless.
So when grace (truth) comes, law (lie) is to be done away, in the same
manner a child puts away Santa Clause (lie) when becoming an adult (man kind).
It's like putting away ignorance when understanding comes. So
Solomon exhorts: "with all thy getting
(of wisdom), get understanding":
Proverbs 4. We are to get it: understanding, and to the point of no
misunderstanding at all; so thereby no schism in the body.
Double minded: Grace + Law is as if Life +
Death, a Dead End
Double minded seems to be akin to being "carnally minded"
(law
mindead), which "is death"; Instead of being "spiritually
minded" (grace
minded; Christ
minded), is life and peace: Romans 8:6. So there
seems to be schism (law) and divisions (denominations) among carnal minded
sheeple who play the blame game, but only grace and peace
among spiritually minded people. For there is no consensus
among carnal minded Christians, but rather schism and divisions. So Paul says
to "mark" and "avoid" them which
cause divisions, for there should be no
schism in the body of Christ is not dividead. For Christ is the end of
the law: Romans 10:4, and not the mend of law: Luke 5:35-37. So
we're not called the body of Jesus, but called "the body of Christ"; of
"through Jesus-->Christ", "in Christ" thereof there is peace
(not
confusion) with God and "eternal life" of "eternal
salvation". For in
Jesus there's temporal salvation followed by destruction, due to grace
+ law is as life + death. For "Jesus"
was "made under the law", "of
woman" (being deceived, was in
the transgression);
But "Christ" is the
end of the law. So there is a difference between "Jesus" and "Christ"
to learn;
Also a difference between the God (Law) on high and the higher God
(Grace):
"Mind not
high things", and "be not
high minded"
(mind not God on "high", nor a "high" priest thereof)
Double minded also seems to be akin to "high minded"; for in
divided L/R heavens "on high" it's either a law vs law or laws vs grace
sides war;
With such law vs law
being as loser vs loser: "divided against itself", and being right
of laws vs grace is
still division and not peace instead of peace and not divided. So Paul
says "mind not high things" (Romans 12: 16) and "be not high minded"
(Romans 11:20; 1Timothy 6:17), as "high minded" is listed among
"unholy" things to "from such turn away": 2Timothy 3.
So leave high minded:
carnal minded: double minded: unstable to go on unto perfection:
grace void of law
= mercy void of sacrifice
= peace void of confusion.
So "the last
trump" played by Paul (called "the token in every epistle")
is: Grace with you all. Amen.
The grace of our Lord Jesus
Christ with you all. Amen.
